Grangestone: Quiet Luxury
Grangestone is our love letter to flagstone — especially slate, the most timeless of outdoor materials. It combines no-nonsense rusticity with primal elemental power to create luxurious and versatile spaces.
A plethora of options adds to Grangestone’s versatility. From large, lighter-colored stones to smaller slate offerings that bring sophistication to gardens and landscapes, there are countless ways to add flagstone indoors and out.
A Timeless Material
Slate and its close relatives are steeped in history and authenticity, giving them a unique ability to elevate minimal exteriors (and interiors). They soften the starkness of modernism and the formality of stately landscapes. And they accentuate organic architectural spaces, whether those are inspired by the mountains, desert, or ocean.
Yet one more reason slate other types of flagstone have made their mark over the centuries: they have boundless indoor-outdoor potential, allowing for the elusive continuous material palette.
Flagstone, Two Ways
There are two expressions of Grangestone.
First, Petros, a stately and classic material that showcases slate in its most raw and rugged form. The medium and large pieces bring a fresh perspective to slate, indoors and out.
Then, there is Grangestone Galet. These smaller format slate pieces can be incorporated instead of mulch or exposed dirt, creating an intentional and sophisticated look, while remaining a permeable surface. Used wisely, it’s an elegant finishing touch — and a smart choice in wildfire zones.
Remarkably Versatile
Grangestone is a strong statement that can still be read into many design languages. In addition to adding elegance to a space, it offers invaluable benefits such as slip resistance, freeze-thaw durability, and chemical resistance.
The range of sizes also offers possibilities in terms of placement and pattern. Choose large-format, medium, or mini Grangestone, depending on the kind of statement you’ll be making. Two colors of Grangestone — black slate and pink rosso — cover both ends of the spectrum. Or, go for Galet in its standard or mini size, available in dark and otherworldly slate.
Rugged, sophisticated, timeless, stoic.
